2 Fish Lunch

Eating a set with small whole fish is always a very "adult" thing for me. I guess same for many people. It's such a troublesome thing with all the bones. And for lunch people would choose something simple and easy to swallow. In old days, you see construction site workers ordering foods like these with big plate of rice. A simple dish with deep fried whole fish with tomato sauce or bitter melon with black bean. Actually, it tastes very good. It's just the trouble eating it. Especially when you are with your colleagues, it's not quite elegrant to remove the bones. But when I am alone or with close friends, it'd be something to order. Besides, this dish gives me a home feeling. It's something you'd have at home. With the football matches these days, we really don't have a decent meal at home for quite a while. Sigh...

Lunch at Robuchon a Galerah

This French restaurant is in Hotel Lisboa in Macau. My colleague highly recommended it. And she is right. The foods are excellent and good value for money.

2 of us had a 3 courses and 4 courses meal. It cost $288 for 3 and $368 for 4. The starter I had is a goose liver paste. Taste good. The cold tomata soup was interesting. But I didn't enjoy the green moouse on top of the soup. The pan fried seabass was very nice. But something I can cook myself. The lamb shank is however very nice and beautiful. It come with a wide selection of dessert. Even for a frnch cuisine, you can leave with a very full stomach. Nice!

Mrs. Pathworth

Today, we brew some pui er tea, which I got from my mom.? Those tea leaves were given to us from Mrs. Pathworth.? She is an old lady who rented my original room many years ago.? She was a very nice old lady.? I used to run into her room and spoke to her.? Her family is in New Zealand.? But she stayed behind in HK, as she liked staying in HK, where she could meet her friends.? Then she went to NZ to visit her son and grand children every once in a while.? After she moved back to NZ, we still contacted each other.? But after a few years, it stopped.? Now, I don't know if she is still around.

For Fuijianese, we usually drink tea like Iron Buddah.? But for Cantonese, they like pui er.? The one we brewed today is probably over 20 years.? I believe for good pui er, the longer you store it, the better it tastes.? And it does taste very good.? I can taste something sweet as I swallow.? The after taste is also very good.? A tiny bit of tea leave, you can brew a whole big pot.? Very nice.

$30 Cha Chan

Sometimes, I feel really bad for people living or working in Central. After finished helping out at our restaurant in Central, I walked down for lunch. I usually go for cha chan ting for a casual lunch, as you can order more or less depending on your appetide. As I walk into this famous Honolulu Coffee Shop, I ordered a tea set for lunch, as seen in the picture.

It cost me $30 with a cold drink. I feel so sad as I am eating it. In Wanchai, I paid $20 for more foods than this. And worse still, the foods is bad. The sausage is cold. The noodle is tasteless. The luncheon meat is one thick one thin. I think it's reasaonable to charge higher in Central area. But is it because of that, we have to eat bad foods too? Maybe I order the wrong foods, as they are famous in egg tart (only?). But at least the iced milk tea still in my mouth as I type should be drinkable! Sign... Lucky I work in Wanchai!

Lunch at Thaifood

I heard about this thai restaurant in Wanchai for quite a while. They are famous in chicken. This is the first time I've been here.

The chicken rice is a bit different from the hoi nan version. The rice is yellow in color making with ginger. The chicken is boneless, except the wing. The meat is so tender. Back in Philippines, I ate a fish, which local likes because its texture is like chicken. I have no idea what it is good about. But this chicken in Thaifood is so tender. It's actually tender like fish! I rarely finish my foods during lunch. But today, I finish everything on the plate!

Dalmatian

As I sat into my car, I found myself turning into a dalmatian. The yellow street lamp shining on my window, the shadow of the rain drop was all over my body. It's so beautiful.

Very Confused

Very confused these days. Somethings that I wanted to do a couple of years ago got rejected at that time. But and somehow it's a good idea and must be done today. Am I running too fast ahead? Really tired...

Cleaning at 9:30pm

Wednesday, 9:30pm - I've just finished vacuum my home. I couldn't imagine I would clean my place on a weekday night. But I just cannot stand it any more. My Osim vacuum cleaner was broken 3 weeks ago. I took it back for repair. When it came back 1.5 weeks ago, a part was broken during the delivery. So, it took another 1.5 week for repair. And my home was therefore in a mess for 3 weeks!!!

It further solidifties my hate against Osim. First of all, the product itself is a bad design and poorly made. It's silly not to pack the thing properly for handling. Worst of all, the replacement parts for the machine are old! How can I tell? They should at least clean the part before putting it in!!! With all the dirt, it's obviously used. Sometimes, I really wonder I have to put up with this and not just throwing this useless $4,XXX machine into the bin.

Anyway, nice to have a clean home again. But I will do another deep cleaning over the weekend. And probably take the cats out and do a pest control.

Ksus2: 2 Songs for 2 Special Occasions

After looking into the lyrics of Kay's new album. I've found 2 songs really interesting. One of them is 亡命之途. A funny song about mini-bus "racer". It'd be fun playing when you're actually in one of those high speed mini-bus. I wish the radio can play this song more often to remind all the drivers what they're doing. It's not only their lives are in their hands.

The other one is a 我愛茶餐廳. A very joyful song to listen. And I love 茶餐廳 too. In fact, it's where I have lunch everyday (almost). Besides resonance with the topic, just like every songs of Kay, regardless what the song is about, it gives joy to the listeners. Thank you, Kay. And thank you, Adrian.

Kay Tse: Ksus2

Another pop music CD I purchased since a very long time. I fell in love with her voice since her last album. A very special vocal saying very different songs. Lovely.

This new album of 謝安琪 has only got 6 songs in it. Actually 5, as 1 of them is a remix. The style is quite different from her previous album. I don't know how to describe. I guess it's not as crazy. Ha!

I am still trying to get hold of the tickets for her musical. I can't wait to hear her singing live.
