MSF Orienteering Competition 2007(三)

Today, I went for the briefing of MSF Orienteering Competition 2007. This is the third year we join the game. I count this by the number of MSF T-Shirt I've got at home. Ha! The "battle ground" this year is Wan Tsai in Sai Kung (西貢灣仔).

Our team starts early in the morning. We need to get a bound ferry ride over the site from Wong Shek at 7:50am!!! Gee... That means we will have to wake up at 5:00am?! OMG!!!

When I registered at the counter before the briefing and bought the tickets for the ferry ride, the personnel verified the team name with me. He asked if it's 聖記山頭敢死隊. Then all the people around stared at me. Who the heck picked this weird name in the beginning?!

The briefing itself was quite boring, as it's just the same things as I heard for the past 2 years. Only the information given at the beginning was useful. After that, I went to "sleep mode" as I do in any lecture. Tommy was sitting at my back with his own teammates. He woke me up as the briefing was almost finished. Then I went to sit next to him and had a good chat with him on some of my personal things.

As for the competition, we still haven't got any training at all. Tommy is getting quite serious with the game. He is practising by running 5km everyday. Last week, he has got his teammates practising in Braemar Hill. On the coming Sunday, he is going to the actual site in Wan Tsai to practise. I'd better get some exercise as well. As having anemia because of being a thalassemia trait, I don't want to get embarrassed by fainting in the first 15 minutes of the game. HA!

My fellow teammates, please bring along your compass, watch, whistle, and our 聖記 Spirit!!! 不要問,只要信!勇往直前!
