Today, we brew some pui er tea, which I got from my mom.? Those tea leaves were given to us from Mrs. Pathworth.? She is an old lady who rented my original room many years ago.? She was a very nice old lady.? I used to run into her room and spoke to her.? Her family is in New Zealand.? But she stayed behind in HK, as she liked staying in HK, where she could meet her friends.? Then she went to NZ to visit her son and grand children every once in a while.? After she moved back to NZ, we still contacted each other.? But after a few years, it stopped.? Now, I don't know if she is still around.
For Fuijianese, we usually drink tea like Iron Buddah.? But for Cantonese, they like pui er.? The one we brewed today is probably over 20 years.? I believe for good pui er, the longer you store it, the better it tastes.? And it does taste very good.? I can taste something sweet as I swallow.? The after taste is also very good.? A tiny bit of tea leave, you can brew a whole big pot.? Very nice.
