Trip to Macau with A Group of Crazy People

Just come back from a 2-day trip to Macau. We had a very good time there. Lots of fun and laughters. Time flied just like blinking my eyes.

The trip started with a dinner gathering some months ago. It's a sudden call from Ardy. It turned out we had a good show-up rate. A few days later, we had got a call from Ken. Because some of us have some annual leaves outstanding. He suggested having a 2-day trip to Macau after the holiday. Since we had annual leave anyway, we didn't want to go during holiday when it was busy. It turned out we have 14 people going to Macau! Amazing!!!

The theme of the trip is FOODS!!! A LOT OF FOODS!!! I do not dare to count how many meals we have got. As soon as we landed, the foods began to serve:

1st Day:
Lunch: 蝦子麵、炸鯪魚球
After-Lunch Dessert: 豆腐花、鮮椰子雪糕
Before Dinner "Snack": 蟹粥 (snack?)、炸田雞髀、炸墨魚丸、大菜糕、香蕉糕、新鮮葡 tart。
Dinner: Portugese at Lisbon

2nd Day:
Breakfast: Buffet at hotel (sucks)
Lunch: 魚翅、禾花雀、燒鴿、禾蟲 (YUCK!)
After Lunch Dessert: 燉奶

I am quite sure that I miss a lot of food items here. These people are crazy. Bottomless stomach!!! I do not date to put myself on the scale now...

We stayed in the new Rio Hotel. The hotel itself is ok. The room is big and comfortable. But I hate the bed and pillow. The bed is too hard, and the pillow is too low. They gave us 2 pillows per person. 1 was too low, 2 was too high! Moreover, the room temperature was too low, no matter how we adjusted it. I couldn't sleep well.

It is interesting that Oliver and Kenny commented that the room was hot. I wonder what they did last night...

The whole trip was full of laughters. I believed it is the only exercise we had throughout the trip. We are all crazy and silly people.

We visited a couple of casinos, like Sands and Wynn. Nothing special. Wynn is quite disappointing, as we heard that it has quite a different shopping arcade. But we found IFC a lot better. HA!

I won $100 from the slot machine. I think it's the first time I took money from casino. HA!

The development in Macau is amazing. In Las Vegas, you probably see 1 new hotel. But in Macau, you probably see 3!!! And the new ones are getting bigger and bigger! Although the existing ones target mainly at mainlanders, which you can see a lot of gold color and label shops, hopefully, in a few years time, we can see more exciting things happening in Macau!

We also did some sightseeing to help our digestion.
